Individualized tutoring is a type of academic guidance according to students' individual difference and characteristic.Study on the application of individualized tutoring in chemistry teaching in rural high school is rarely reported.During the process of three-year voluntary teaching,I found that there are great individual differences in the learning basis of rural high school students.The effect of regular classroom teaching for different students is far from each other,and middle school students generally have the will to accept individualized tutoring.An individualized tutoring practice in high school chemistry teaching was realized with the strong support of the school leaders.The current situation of learning and teaching was fully acquainted using the student questionnaire survey and teacher interview.The program and procedure of individualized tutoring were carefully designed.Chemistry teaching and individualized tutoring practice were carried out in the selected experimental class and control class.The data analysis and method summary were achieved based on test and feedback results.The main contents of this thesis are listed as follows.In the first part,the questions was proposed,the purpose and significance of the research was described,the current research situation both at home and abroad was summarized,and the research method was briefly described,the innovative points of the research were introduced,and the feasibility of the investigation was analyzed.In the second part,the concepts of individualized education,individualized teaching and individualized tutoring and the relationship among them weredefined,four common individualized tutoring methods were introduced,and display three kinds of educational theories were provided.In the third part,some basic works before the implementation of individualized tutoring practice,such as student questionnaire survey,teacher interview survey and analysis of survey results,were revealed.In the fourth part,the principles and methods of individualized tutoring were discussed,the strategies for strengthening the effect of individualized tutoring were studied,the process of individualized tutoring was initial designed.In the fifth part,the individualized tutoring practice for specific target a student was performed,and the application effect were investigated based on students' test and survey feedback results.In the sixth part,the research works were summarized,the shortcomings were pointed out and the future prospects were put forward.This research shows that the students' interest in learning and their academic achievement could be effectively improved via the application of individualized tutoring practice,in which “one-to-one”,“group learning” and“elite training” methods were adopted,in middle school chemistry teaching.
