Ever since the 18 th National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jin ping has focused on the general situation for the development of the cause of the Party and the country and stressed the important position of ideological work for many times.Universities are at the forefront of the ideological field and the important place for cultivating outstanding talents.All actions of universities are closely related to national security,social stability,and the development of public attitude.The rise of scientific and technical revolution has boosted the arrival of the era of new media.With its powerful communication functions,new media has increasingly profoundly influenced social development and exerted a huge impact on people's way of life and communication.In the era of new media,the widespread application of Internet technology has on the one hand grabbed the commanding height of ideological safety for universities and provided the opportunity to seize the initiative in ideological safety.On the other hand,this has also brought troubles and problems to the ideological safety education of universities.Under this circumstance,only when we follow the new trend,new laws,new requirement for the development of the time and integrate the technical advantages of new media into the ideological safety education of universities,can we strengthen the use and regulation over new media and promote good effects for the ideological safety education at universities in China.From the interdisciplinary perspective of communication and pedagogy,this thesis comprehensively adopts such research methods as literature review and questionnaire survey,targets the core issue of“ideological safety education at universities in the era of new media”,and offers discussion in four parts.The introduction mainly presents an overview on the topic selection reasons,and research significance,content,methods and innovation points of this thesis,thereby helping us master the inner logic of the thesis and clarifying the line of thinking for the research.Chapter One: Overview of Ideological Safety Education at Universities in the Era of New Media.This chapter is the theoretical foundation of the thesis.Firstly,starting from the basic definition of new media and ideological safety,the thesis further explores the characteristics and development trend of new media,the content,objectives,and principles for ideological safety education at universities,and the necessity of strengthening ideological safety education at universities in the era of new media.Chapter Two: Research on the Current Status and reason of Ideological Safety Education at Universities in the Era of New Media.This chapter is the core chapter of the whole thesis.Through adopting the questionnaire survey method,the thesis summarizes the problems of ideological safety education at universities in the era of new media in discourse ability,teaching mode,media functions,and team building,and analyzes the reasons for the emergence of such problems in points and layers,thereby proposing Specific suggestions.Chapter Three: Discussion on path to Strengthen Ideological Safety Education at Universities in the Era of New Media.This chapter is the difficulty of the thesis.Based on previous analysis,this chapter proposes the path on securing great effects for ideological safety education at universities.Firstly,we should reinforce the discourse system on the ideological safety education at universities.Secondly,we should expand the channel resources for ideological safety education at universities.Thirdly,we should strengthen the team building of ideological safety education at universities.Finally,we should form the long-term mechanism on ideological safety education at universities.
