A Study On The Countermeasures Of The "Difficult To Get Married" For Rural Older Young Men

In recent years,there have been many reports on "difficulty to get married" about rural older unmarried young men.The "difficulty to get married" problem not only plagues older unmarried young men and their families in rural areas,but also restricts rural economic development and harmony and stability.Based on the review of existing research,this article uses the village of X in Henan Province as an example to study the problem of "difficulty to get married" among older rural young men.It is mainly based on what they have seen in village X and their marriage with young people,young parents,Interviews with community managers and the elderly in the village to understand the basic information such as the personal conditions,family structure,and economic status of the older unmarried young men in the village X.The combination of the basic situation of the individual and family of the older rural male youth with the social environment will accurately locate the reasons for the difficulty of marriage of this special group.On this basis,the causes of the problem are analyzed from the three dimensions of society,family and individual.At the social level,the reasons mainly include the large proportion of men and women,the high cost of marriage payment,population mobility and the widening gap between urban and rural economy.The family level is mainly reflected in older men and young brothers,poor family style,economic poverty;At the individual level,the main reasons are that the young men are not good at their own ability,and the marriageable women choose a mate "money first".Under the background of "difficulty to get married" in village X,older unmarried young men can only go out to work to increase their income,pay higher-than-market gifts,lower the standard of spouse selection,and marry a woman with a marriage history or a mentally retarded woman.Family,even through plastic surgery to improve appearance and other ways to obtain as many marriage opportunities as possible,this marriage strategy is really helpless and endless troubles.In order to cope with the problem of "difficulty to get married" for older rural young men,the basis of analyzing the above reasons.On the above,policy recommendations and suggestions were made from the aspects of narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas,supporting young entrepreneurs to return home to work,renewing the new customs of rural civilization,and building two village committees of caring villages.The policies advocated in different aspects have been proposed to improve older unmarried young men "difficulty to getmarried" has important revelations and functions.
