Research On Fathers' Participation In Early Childhood Upbringing

In the traditional concept of our country,the traditional division of labor between male and female outsiders is deeply rooted in the hearts of men.Men are highly regarded as "parents" and women are "caregivers".In the long run,male fathers 'responsibilities and obligations have been ignored by the society.With the rapid economic development,the traditional social division of labor model has gradually been broken.The single role of the father“ housekeeper ”can no longer meet the needs of society and the family,and the father is gradually supported by the economy.Turn to support for all aspects of your child.This study mainly focused on the fathers of young children aged 0-7 years,supplemented by some mothers as supporting materials.Based on the related research,the qualitative research method was used to focus on father's role recognition,participation content,participation methods,The status of participation effects was studied in infant fathers.It is found through research that fathers have changed from single role identification to multiple role identifications.Fathers believe that in addition to their financial responsibility,they also have the role of care,playmates,and role models.Therefore,fathers have actively participated in the care and care of their children.Companionship,education guidance and teaching come up,but due to the influence of working hours and other factors,few fathers can do everything,so the actual participation is highlighted by three types of participation: continuous,intermittent and marginal.Although the "widowed parenting" model still exists,it is undeniable that most fathers continue to perform their father's duties.The father's positive parenting attitude and action can promote children's growth,husband and wife relationship,self-development and intergenerational relationship.The research results show that parents are gradually detached from the traditional sense of gender division of labor,mothers are gradually abandoning the idea of "maternal talent",and fathers are encouraged to participate in the upbringing of their children.However,traditional thoughts are deeply entrenched and still cause the father to comply with the role of "family supporter",and also appear "selective" in theprocess of performing fatherhood.Therefore,in order to further increase the level of parental participation,we must not only encourage fathers to actively change their ideas,but also support the family,social and cultural environment,and national policies to jointly promote parental participation.
