| In the current wisdom era of highly informationized,computational thinking has become an essential basic skill for K-12 learners in the 21st century.How to cultivate the students' Computational Thinking in k12 education has become the research focus of researchers and front-line teachers.STEM education is an interdisciplinary education integrating science,technology,engineering and mathematics,which has been widely recognized and applied in primary and secondary schools in China in recent years.Since STEM education is characterized by interdisciplinary integration,situational experience,cooperative inquiry and multiple evaluation,it has become more and more fertile ground for cultivating students' computational thinking.However,at present,STEM education in China mainly focuses on urban primary and secondary schools,while rural primary and secondary schools have little contact to STEM education.In order to promote the balanced development of quality education,computational thinking has truly become the basic skill of every K-12 learner.To explore how to develop STEM education in rural primary and secondary schools to promote the cultivation of students' computational thinking should be a hot issue worthy of deep thinking and research.Based on this,the author through in-depth study of the STEM education,APT teaching model and the advance organizer teaching strategy,combined with the initial ability and learning characteristics of rural primary school students,build the STEM teaching model based on APT,a then designs and implements stem courses accordingly,in order to explore the best model of developing stem Education and cultivating students'Computational Thinking in rural primary and secondary schools.First of all,through reading literature,the author understands the current situation of stem education in rural primary and secondary schools、the research status of stem teaching mode and the training status of computational thinking at home and abroad,and defines the concepts of stem education,apt teaching model and computational thinking,clarifies the current relevant research,and determines the research background and research issues of this study.Secondly,the author deeply analyzes the convergence of STEM education and APT teaching model,and constructs the STEM teaching model based on APT by using the teaching strategy of advance organizer,using information teaching tools and means,and adopting diversified evaluation methods.Thirdly,the STEM teaching model based on APT is used to design and implement the STEM course "Mars signal tower" to verify the changes of students' computational thinking under different teaching methods,teaching modes and teaching environments.Finally,through the comparative analysis of the data measured before and after the questionnaire and the content analysis of the interviews between teachers and students,this paper illustrates the promoting effect of STEM teaching model based on APT on the cultivation of computational thinking of rural primary school students.This study designed and implemented the STEM course "Mars signal tower",and made the following conclusions through qualitative and quantitative analysis:1.The STEM teaching model based on APT can significantly improve students'computational thinking ability.2.Compared with the traditional teaching environment,the information-based teaching environment is more conducive to the development of students' computational thinking.3.The stronger the group's computational thinking ability,the higher the score of the final work. |
