For a long time,problem-solving has been regarded as an important goal of school education,and problem-solving ability has become one of the most important abilities in the 21st century.Based on this background,the school has gradually changed from imparting knowledge and skills to cultivating students' good problem-solving ability,and has sent excellent talents to the country who can adapt to the society and benefit the society rapidly.But before developing students' problem-solving ability,it is more important to measure and evaluate the current problem-solving ability of students,because only by understanding the current level of problem-solving ability of students,feeding back the current situation and existing problems of the problem-solving ability of students,can we train and improve the problem-solving ability of students with low water level more pertinently,and select high-level talents more effectively.This is the significance of this study.This paper adopts the research method of combination of qualitative and quantitative,through literature review,test and interview,data statistics and analysis,establishes the evaluation index system of analytical geometry problem-solving ability of 4-dimension 8-index and 16 elements,and compiles a set of test paper with good reliability and validity for the level of analytical geometry problem-solving ability,which is used to carry out the practice for senior two students in a demonstration middle school Finally,according to the results of the test and interview,some suggestions are put forward to cultivate and improve students' ability of solving analytic geometry problems.Taking the analytic geometry content as an example,this paper studies the evaluation of analytic geometry problem-solving ability of senior two students in a demonstration middle school.The whole paper focuses on five aspects:(1)how to measure and evaluate the analytic geometry problem-solving ability of senior two students?(2)What is the ability of senior two students to solve analytic geometry problems?(3)What are the differences in gender,class and course selection in the ability of solving geometric problems?(4)What are the factors that affect students' ability to solve analytic geometry problems?(5)How to cultivate or improve students' ability of solving analytic geometry problems?The main conclusions of this empirical study are as follows:(1)the overall level of students' ability to solve geometric problems in this school is high;(2)the rigor and divergence of students' thinking need to be improved;(3)there is no significant difference in the level of ability between genders,but the advantages of men and women are different;(4)there is significant difference in class,class G is higher than Class H;(5)there is significant difference in course selection,and the level of the students who are partial to reason is higher than that of the students who are partial to literature;(6)the students have two main problems:first,they are not good at learning and mastering basic knowledge;second,they are not good at organizing and summarizing,and their ability of reflection is relatively low;(7)the factors that affect the students' ability level may be:the quality of thinking,their liking for outward bound training,their ability of reflection,and their extracurricular involvement.The innovation of this study is mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)From the point of view of topic selection,there are not many scholars in the research of problem-solving ability,but also few research results of problem-solving ability with analytic geometry as the content.In this study,by combing the research results at home and abroad,the evaluation index system of analytic geometry problem-solving ability is constructed,and a set of test paper with good reliability and validity is compiled,and then the evaluation tool is used to evaluate the senior two students of a school and obtain the empirical results.(2)From the perspective of data analysis,most of the existing studies use the qualitative method to analyze,while this study uses the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the test results.Qualitative analysis:according to the students' answer judgment and analysis of their analytical geometry problem-solving ability and their level,the horizontal analysis of each level of students' answer samples and the satisfaction of basic ability points.At the same time,teachers and students interview are used to explore the teaching and learning suggestions.Quantitative analysis:from the existing data on the overall level of ability in gender,class and course selection differences,try to find some rules,and draw some conclusions.(3)From the empirical conclusion,through the interview and analysis of low-level students and high-level students,this study preliminarily concludes that the factors affecting the students' ability to solve geometric problems may mainly include the following four aspects:the quality of thinking,the degree of liking for outward bound training,the ability to think back,and extracurricular involvement,so as to provide some reference for the following research on the correlation of influencing factors.
