Integer multiplication and division operations play a vital role in junior high school learning.They can cultivate students' symbol awareness,application awareness,reasoning ability and computing ability,and computing ability is the core and basic ability in core literacy.To this end,the study considers from different dimensions,understands the types of students' difficulty in learning integer multiplication and division operations,explores the causes of the difficulties,and gives the corresponding improvement strategies based on the current teaching situation to help students overcome the difficulties.This article takes 274 students in the eighth grade and five classes as the research object,and mainly selects the literature research method,survey research method,interview research method,and classroom observation research method to investigate the types of difficulties that students encounter in integer arithmetic and the causes of difficulties.The survey research method includes questionnaire survey method and test volume survey method,and the data of the questionnaire are processed and analyzed using Excel and SPSS software.The following conclusions were obtained through quantitative and qualitative analysis:The eighth grade students' difficulties in integral multiplication and division are mainly in the difficulty of mastering knowledge,difficulty in applying skills,and difficulty in understanding mathematics.In terms of knowledge mastery,it is mainly due to confusion of laws,random application of formulas and incomplete understanding of concepts;difficulties in skill application include weak application awareness,weak symbol awareness,insufficient computing ability and poor reasoning ability.The main reasons for the difficulty of the whole multiplication and division of eighth grade students are: students' non-intelligence factors,that is,the interest in mathematics learning is not strong,the students' foundation is weak,the examination of the questions is not careful,and the influence of thinking is fixed;the students' intelligence factors,that is,the rules are confused and the concepts are not understoodThorough,clear problem-solving ideas,insufficient problem-solving skills,inflexible use of knowledge,and difficulty in transfer.Strategies to improve the difficulty of integral multiplication and division in the eighth grade students are:let students explore independently,increase student participation and focus on the communication between teachers and students to enhance students' interest in learning;from the use of appropriate methods to strengthen rules,memorize formulas,and focus on concepts Teaching and guiding students to sum up knowledge in three aspects to strengthen students' understanding of basic knowledge;grasp the essence of computing and strengthen students' computing ability mainly from the aspects of training good computing habits and strengthening the training of computing skills;you can focus on students The two aspects of the thinking quality and the cultivation of mathematical thought permeate related mathematical thinking methods.
