Interest can provide motivation for students to study and affect their academic achievement,but students have different interests in different subjects.In physics,“circuit and its application” experiment plays an important role in cultivating students' scientific thinking and improving their ability of scientific inquiry.It is an important and indispensable part of high school physics experiment.Students' interest in “circuit and its application” experiment will provide motivation for their study and promote their learning level.Therefore,it is necessary to know the interest level of students in such experiments,so as to take appropriate teaching strategies to improve the learning effect.Based on the person-object theory,the four-phase model of interest development and the self-organization-objective information theory,the study developed and preliminarily verified the high school “circuit and its application” experimental interest scale,and used the scale to measure the interest level of high school students in such experiments.The high school “circuit and its application” experimental interest scale is composed of 4 dimensions,28 valid items and 3 pairs of lying detection questions.The four dimensions are: the interest in the phenomenon and principle of circuit experiment,the interest in the related activities of circuit experiment,the interest in the teaching of circuit experiment and the interest in the equipment and use of circuit experiment.Through the reliability analysis of the scale,the internal consistency reliability of the scale is 0.937,indicating that the scale has a good reliability;Factor analysis of the scale shows that the scale has a good structural validity.In other words,the reliability and validity of the experimental interest scale of “circuit and its application” are all good.The scale can be used to measure students' interest level of such experiments,so as to evaluate students' interest level of such experiments more accurately.This study applies high school “circuit and its application” experimental interest inventory complete three tasks: 1.The level of interest in such experiments was measured among high school students,The results show that the average of students' interest scores(ranging from 28 to 140,with a median of 84)is 90.02,the average value of each factor divided by the number of items of that factor(ranging from 1 to 5 with a median of 3)is between 2.80 and 3.62.This indicates that high school students' interest in “circuit and its application” is above average.In order to understand the students' relative position in the group more conveniently,the percentile score norm of interest score was established.2.This paper studies the relationship between high school students' interest in “circuits and their applications” and their gender.The results showed that male and female students showed significant differences in interest in such experiments 3.The relationship between high school students' interest in the experiment of “circuit and its application” and their performance in physics was investigated.The results show that the correlation coefficient between high school students' interest in this kind of experiment and their physics performance is 0.460,which indicates that there is a moderately positive correlation between their physics performance and their interest level.In addition,the interest level of the group with excellent academic performance was higher than that of the group with poor academic performance.
