This paper mainly focuses on the situation teaching method to study and discuss the historical development of situational teaching method in China,and takes the representative two scholars Wei Zhicheng and Li Jilin in the research of situational teaching method as examples to summarize their research results on the definition and connotation of the situation,the basis and function of creating the situation,This paper analyzes the drawbacks of the situational teaching method put forward by them.The situation teaching method of our country has made great achievements in the field of practice after decades of development,but also to see that it also has some content that is not in line with the trend of the times.For example,too much attention is paid to the role of virtual situations in the classroom,the traces of manual carving in classroom teaching are too obvious,and the comprehensive quality of teaching teachers is too demanding,can not be targeted to teach students reading methods and so on.The standard of Chinese curriculum in general High School promulgated in 2017 has put forward that Chinese learning should take accomplishment as the standard,emphasize the creation of situation and the solution of problems should take students as the center,and encourage students to carry out more language practice activities.From this,we can see that some factors in the situation teaching method of our country are no longer in line with the development trend of the times.PIRLS,PISA and NAEP are large-scale evaluation projects with international influence,their definition of reading situation and the method of classifying reading situation are worth learning from,and the biggest characteristic of these reading evaluation is authenticity,so we pay great attention to whether the situation in the evaluation can solve the practical problems in the real situation.The research on the reading situation is introduced into the situation teaching method in ourcountry,which can improve the problems existing in the situational education method.At the same time,these reading evaluation focus on solving practical problems of thinking,if applied to the situation teaching in China,can deeply reflect the concept of student-centered,so that students can more closely combine reading with real life,to promote the development of reading teaching in China to a better direction.
