The ideological and political course in senior high school is a very comprehensive and theoretical course,and its knowledge system contains all kinds of abstract concepts and principles.That's why a part of students have a low enthusiasm for the ideological and political course.With the advancement of the new curriculum education reform,the traditional teaching method in the teaching process of high school ideological and political course has begun to fail to meet the teaching needs of the new curriculum standard,and the teaching method relying on the cartoon carrier has been taught in high school ideological and political course.Caricature teaching has its unique connotation and characteristics,and it is helpful to improve students' learning interest and efficiency,and it's useful for teachers to each theoretical knowledge and improve students'comprehensive analysis ability.Therefore,the teachers correctly and reasonably use of caricature to carry out teaching can activate the atmosphere of ideological and political classes,making teaching process be filled with pleasure.And theoretical knowledge easier to understand and students' learning enthusiasm will be improved.In the teaching of ideological and political,,nore and more teachers accept and master the teaching method of using caricature to carry out teaching,and the effectiveness of high school ideological and political teaching will be further improved.On the basis of explaining the connotation,characteristics and significance of caricature teaching,this paper expounds the form,function and necessity of caricature teaching.Then this paper makes an analysis of the current situation of the application of caricature in the ideological and political teaching in senior high school by the way of empirical investigation.This paper has found that there are some problems in the application of the caricature teaching in high school ideological and political courses,which is mainly shows following aspects:current teaching model is limited by the traditional teaching model;the cartoon is not timely;the comic form target is single;the teacher is too dependent on the cartoon to teach well;and the teacher is inadequate on their abilities.Based on this,the paper makes an analysis on current situation.To solve these problems,this paper puts forward some guiding strategies from the aspects of changing teachers' traditional teaching concepts,choosing caricature appropriately,grasping the insertion time of caricature reasonably and improving teachers'comprehensive ability,so as to provide effective reference for the use of caricature in the ideological and political teaching in senior high school.
