A Study On National Self-Cognition And Its Influencing Factors

Self-cognition is one of the core concepts of social psychology.How people understand and understand society when they live in society is a question worthy of our consideration.In the past,the research on self-cognition involves many angles.This paper attempts to explain the following three questions from the perspective of nationality with empirical analysis: First,what are the concepts and characteristics of national self-cognition? Second,what are the factors that affect national self-awareness? The third is the national self-cognition divided into several parts,what is the relationship between each part?This paper adopts the analysis method based on quantitative research and qualitative research,based on the comprehensive survey of social conditions in Wuhan in 2014 and some interview data.Firstly,based on the literature,the research hypothesis is proposed to construct the theoretical framework.Secondly,the national self-cognition is operated into the three concepts of national self-evaluation,national self-experience and national self-realization,respectively summarizing its characteristics and analyzing the influencing factors.Finally,the establishment of nationals The structural equation model of self-evaluation,national self-experience and national self-realization analyzes the relationship between the three.The conclusions of the study are as follows: First,according to the previous studies on nationality and self-cognition,national self-cognition is defined as “the recognition and evaluation of self-behavioral characteristics and psychological conditions prevalent in a country's nationals”.Second,national self-awareness can be manipulated into three concepts:national self-evaluation,national self-experience,and national self-realization,and summarize the inductive characteristics.In terms of national self-evaluation,the nationals believe that their basic moral literacy is high,focusing on integrity and civility.In terms of national self-experience,the people generally have a strong sense of national identity and a good self-experience,and the state can bring a greater sense of pride,confidence and belonging.In terms of national self-realization,the general public believes that their living conditions are better,their happiness is higher,and their self-realization is better.Third,the factors affecting national self-cognition are mainly demographic factors.In addition to working conditions,gender differences,ages,education,political appearance,and hukou nature all have a significant impact on national self-awareness and operational concepts.Fourthly,the three operational concepts of national self-evaluation,national self-experience and national self-realization and the corresponding observed variables establish a structural equation model,which proves that there is a significant correlation between these three operational concepts,which constitutes a common The concept of national self-awareness.The research significance of this paper is that from the theoretical point of view,it can enrich the research field of self-cognition and the structural model of self-concept.From the perspective of practice,it is conducive to establishing correct values for the citizens,improving the quality of the people and alleviating social contradictions.The insufficiency of the research in this paper is that,first,the data source is not a nationwide survey,and it has certain limitations.Second,the influencing factors only explore demographic characteristics,and do not analyze whether other influencing factors will affect the national self-cognition.Further research on these two aspects can be made in the future.
