The construction of clubs is one of the most important campus culture construction since the new curriculum reform in China.As an extension of classroom teaching,its rich and flexible characteristics make it an important carrier to comprehensively improve students' core literacy.Starting from the perspective of core literacy,the author adopts the method of combination of qualitative research and empirical research to analyze the case of S middle school.By observing and analyzing its club activities,the author puts forward corresponding Suggestions for the construction of the club based on the development of core literacy.The author uses the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and interview to carry out the research.The article first introduces the research on club construction by domestic and foreign scholars and the definition of core literacy in different national systems and also introduces the relationship between students' development of core literacy and middle school students' club construction.Based on an investigation of the construction of a club in a middle school in Suzhou,this paper analyzes 230 students,questionnaires in combination with interviews with school directors,tutors,parents and summarizes some problems in the construction of the club:uneven establishment of the club type,insufficient time for club activities,lack of communication between the club and the outside world,students are not the real owners of the club,students' attitude towards the club is too casual under the pressure of high school entrance examination and they attach importance to the ability to belittle scores.In order to develop students' core literacy in club activities,the construction of middle school club can be improved in the following aspects:renewing the concept,improving students' understanding of club,guiding students to select appropriate club,establishing reasonable club goals,cultivating students' will and quality,improving the professional level of club guidance teachers,teaching students according to their aptitude in combination with local characteristics,strengthening the management of club in schools and formulating feasible diversified evaluation methods.
