Study Of Beijing Golf Driving Range Investment And Current Development Situation

Golf driving range is the place for golf beginners and fans to practice.It is less area occupied and ratherly cheap that could be accepted easily by the public.Chinese golf industry has entered into a high-speed development period.In the last decades,Chinese standard golf course developed without mass base.However,independent golf driving range should be concluded into the public sport facility because its advantages,so in the future independent driving range will bear the burden of golf popularization in China.Study object of this thesis is Beijing independent golf driving range,using literature analytical method to have a better understanding of foreign country golf development.Combining with field visit method,questionnaire survey method and professional people interviewing method,writer visited 25 golf driving ranges and summarized their investment advantages and had a general understanding of current development stuation and management situation that lead to investment advantadges and development modes in the future,conclusions as follows:1.Most driving ranges distributed in Chaoyang and Haidian District,located by residential quarters,parks,green belts and so on.And customers mostly are men,occupied 77.4%,their ages differed from 30 to 49,well educated,centered in real estate,architectural design,finance,banking,insurance,IT,communication,electron,retail,trade and transportation industry,which means they are high paid.2.Combining the practical situation of Beijing,location strategy could consider by high-grade residential areas,city centers,business centers,tourism zone,parks,standard golf courses and special areas.3.Operation method could consider membership method,cooperated with national sports department,schools,corporations and standard golf courses.4.According to different investors and customers' demands generally could be concluded into two type development modes:membership system development mode and public developmentmode.Meanwhile,these two types could deduce lifelong membership system development mode,short-time membership system development mode,government-oriented development mode,market-oriented development mode and so on.
