To cultivate and promote the scientific literacy of high school students is the eternal goal of science education while the cultivation and development of chemistry disciplinary competence(CDC)is the key.What are the constituent elements of CDC ?How to construct a CDC assessment framework suitable for high school students in a scientific way? How to build an efficient chemistry item bank based on competence evaluation? How to scientifically evaluate the status quo of students' CDC? How to effectively cultivate the CDC of middle school students in ethnic areas? In order to answer these questions,this thesis takes Metals and Their Compounds as an example and makes an empirical study.After a close examination of the previous researches,this thesis argues that the elements of CDC include: macro-micro conversion competence,symbolic representation competence,quantitative competence,model constructing competence as well as experimental cognitive competence.This study focuses on the construction of chemistry item bank based on the evaluation of CDC.Under the guidance of the item response theory as well as other theories,and in the light of the research achievements related to CDC and chemistry item bank both at home and abroad,this study takes Metals and Their Compounds as the research material,and tries to compile exercises and build an item bank based on the construction of high school students' CDC learning progressions and two-way checklist after clarifying the basis and principles of exercise sets.Next,this thesis conducts a test on the students of class A and B,Grade one,X Middle High School in H County,Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province.And then the SPSS22.0 software is used to check the reliability of the items,and Winsteps 4.3.4 software is used to perform single-dimensional Rasch model calculations and analyze the reliability and validity of the questions and check whether the data fit the model,and finally SPSS22.0 software is used to analyze the level of competence of students of different classes and sexes in the test of Metals and Their Compounds.The research results show: Firstly,the questions we extracted from the item bankhave good reliability and validity,which indicates that the item bank built by this study is effective and feasible.Secondly,there is no big difference in the level of competence of the male and female students in the test of Metals and Their Compounds of class A and class B,Grade one,X Middle High School in H County,Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province.And the level of competence of students' need to be improved.Thirdly,there are big differences between class A and class B in terms of their macro-micro conversion competence,quantitative computing competence,and experimental cognitive competence,etc.Generally speaking,class A is better than class B.Finally,this thesis respectively gives some recommendations for constructing chemistry item bank,for education authorities in the ethnic minority areas and middle high school teachers and students as well as effectively cultivating the CDC of middle high school students in ethnic minority areas.
