The Study Of The Correlation Of Economic Development And Transportation In Gansu Province

Convenient transportation is the important foundation of a regional economic development,and developed economy provides strong support to the transportation,the two restraints mutually,reinforce mutually.Although the domestic and abroad scholars had made a lot of progress in the study of this kind of correlation,but extensive literature showed that the research about the correlation of economic development and the transportation in Gansu province is relatively less,so it will have necessity and practical significance to employ Gansu province as the research object in this paper.This article first introduces some statistical methods: the cointegration test,grainger causality test,factor analysis and canonical correlation model,then using these methods to analyze the correlation between transportation and economic development in Gansu province.In this paper,the main works are as follows:1.Using factor analysis method to find the composite index which reflects economic development in Gansu province and the comprehensive index that tracks development of transportation in Gansu province.2.Through the cointegration test,granger causality test shows that the economic development of Gansu province and the transportation there is a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between,and both have a two-way causal relationship.3.The canonical correlation analysis shows that there is significant correlation between the transportation and economic development of Gansu province.4.Combined with the research conclusion,present some policy recommendations.
