Education is a kind of science.Human growth and their cognitive activities follow certain rules,which are gradually revealed by modern brain science,exploring how human beings think and develop cognition.Thinking and cognitive process can be displayed by thinking visualization,MindManager,XMind,Inspiration,and other thinking visualization software products are of general applicability,which are therefore wildly applied in educational and instructional field.However,in mathematical education field,thinking visualization products,which combine education with assessment,still remain to be improved and developed.Based on the study of schema theory,instructional design theory,and product design theory,this paper puts forward a thinking visualization product model for childhood mathematics.Guided by this model and based on dot-card activity,a set of thinking visualization tools is developed with modern information technology,referring to thinking visualization technology,which is designed to improve children's mathematical interest and use data to support learning situation analysis.This set of tools is applied on Android and PC platforms,mainly has four functional modules,including thinking visualization,data collection,data statistics,and mathematical toys.Thinking visualization provides users with an interface of thinking display,data submission facilitates the process of saving thinking process to the database,data statistics enables one to check personal and collective data,providing data support for the research of students' thinking process,and mathematical toys promote learner 's mathematical interests.The rationality and feasibility of the model is verified through the realization process of the design.The whole research process adopts educational design research method.First of all,the author combs overseas and domestic research status of schema theory and thinking visualization.Then,with study of relevant theory,the author explains the principle of how dot card activities reflect students' cognitive,and proposes the thinking visualization product model for childhood mathematics.And then,under the guidance of design model,the author conducts instructional design,prototype design and development.After the development,the author carries on application testing in real teaching environment and analyzes the obtained thinking data,putting forward teaching strategy on the basis of research result.In the end,the author summarizes the whole research achievements and deficiencies,and then points out future research content and direction.
