Through the analysis of the content of the Chinese teaching material in junior high school,it is found that the proportion of the novel subject in the Chinese textbook of the junior high school has reached one of seven,and the specific gravity of the novel is more than half,thus the importance of the novel in the Chinese teaching material of the junior middle school can be seen.Due to the lack of theoretical literacy and the solidification of teaching thinking of teachers in poor villages and towns in western China,the teaching of novels is mainly carried out by dividing paragraphs,summing up the main idea and summarizing the theme,which can't inspire a passion for learning among our students.In addition,because of the backward condition of traffic and economy in the western poor towns,the students are lacking knowledge and experience,and the students can feel different life through reading of these novels.In a way,the reading of the novel can help them increasing their horizons.This thesis takes the reading teaching of junior middle school novels in poor villages and towns in western China as the research object,which is divided into five parts.The first part explains the background of the topic,the research status at home and abroad and the definition of related concepts.The second part explains the significance of novel reading teaching to junior middle school students in poor villages and towns in the west from two aspects: enriching knowledge,improving students' Chinese level and opening up their horizons,and enriching students' daily life.The third part,first of all,analyzes the arrangement of teaching materials,statistics the position of novels in junior middle school textbooks and the related unit reading situation;secondly,taking some students and all Chinese teachers in three poor township schools in the west as the object of investigation,we investigate the teaching situation of teachers,the learning situation of students and the influence of external environment on teaching.Part IV,Combined with the results of a questionnaire survey on the reading teaching of novels in poor villages and towns in western China,this paper analyzes the reasons for the problems existing in the reading teaching of novels in poor villages and towns in western China from the perspective of teachers and students.Belong is the most important part in this thesis.From the perspective of teachers' teaching and students' learning,this paper puts forward the corresponding promotion strategies.First of all,teachers need to improve Chinese literacy and improve the subject knowledge system;secondly,teachers learn to use a variety of reading teaching methods in novel reading teaching to make classroom teaching efficient;finally,teachers need to use a variety of evaluation methods to evaluate students' novel interpretation,so that students can make progress in each stage of learning.The foundation of students in poor villages and towns in western China is weak,so it is necessary to strengthen the accumulation of new words in peacetime study,to form good reading habits in novel study,and to extend this habit to extracurricular reading to enrich students' extracurricular reading.
