The reform of mathematics curriculum is profound in the curriculum reform of compulsory education period in China.It is also an important measure to promote quality-oriented education and improve the quality of basic education in China.In the process of implementation,mathematics teachers all over the country play a very important role.The quality of mathematics teaching is directly determined by the teachers' teaching design ability.In the classroom,a good mathematics teaching is not only a few minutes in the teaching process,but also the result of careful thinking and elaborate design of teachers before teaching.And it is also the perfect presentation of the cooperation between teachers and students in teaching.The summary of teacher's reflection after teaching is also one of the components.The quality of teaching design directly affects the teaching effect of a class.Therefore,both the experienced teachers or the new teachers are required to equip themselves with outstanding teaching design ability after the curriculum reform.Thus,it is necessary to understand the status of teaching design ability of primary school mathematics teachers in China.Compared with that in cities and counties,there are many problems existed in the education in rural areas of our country,such as the failure of teaching facilities to keep pace with the time,the backward teaching concepts and the abundant in the amount of left-behind children,which has also restricted the education and teaching level of rural teachers.So,it is expected to help the mathematics teachers in primary schools to improve their teaching design abilities through the investigation and study on the current situation of the teaching design ability of mathematics teachers in rural primary schools carried out in this paper by the author,so that their development could be promoted in a more professional way.Through referring to literature and documents,the data for the teaching design ability of mathematics teachers in rural primary schools were collected and analyzed.Through the research and the experience accumulated,the mathematics teachers in the primary school that is located in the villages where the author is located were taken as the research object.The questionnaire survey method and the interview survey methodwere adopted in this paper,and corresponding questionnaires were complied.It is expected that the current situation of the teaching design ability of mathematics teachers in rural primary schools could be fully and comprehensively understood through the investigation on such situation in various methods.The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors that may affect the teaching design abilities of mathematics teachers in rural primary schools through the investigation and study on such issue,and then to put forward the countermeasures through the specific analysis on the teaching practice.
