With the expansion of enrollment in ordinary higher education schools,postgraduate students,as an important group of higher education in China,have become the focus of attention in the field of sociology and psychology.Therefore,the mental health problems of postgraduate students have received much attention.Resilience,as a protective factor for individuals to face pressure,it can enable individuals to demonstrate good adaptability after encountering setbacks.Resilience can promote the improvement of an individual's mental health level,and at the same time it can alleviate the unhealthy psychological condition.The purpose of this study is to reveal the characteristics of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan Province as well as understand the factors that affect their resilience,moreover,some suggestions will be put forward to improve their level of resilience.This study regards the entire physical education graduate students in Yunnan Province as a whole,and surveys some of the physical education graduate students enrolled in the postgraduate universities of physical education in Yunnan Province,and uses the method of questionnaire survey to conduct their resilience,which gives a preliminary understanding of the level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education.However,the level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education will be affected by many factors.Factor analysis of the survey results was carried out by statistical package for the social science(SPSS)17.0,the factors affecting postgraduate students' resilience in physical education will be summarized.Some suggestions and the following four conclusions will be given:1.Through the analysis of the results of questionnaire survey,it can be found that the mean score of the resilience and each dimension are at above the medium level,but the overall level is not high.2.There are significant differences in the level of postgraduate students' resilience of physical education in Yunnan in demographic variables,such as in terms of gender,whether they are only children and so on.The level of resilience is high in man than in women,non-only children are higher than only children,professionalmasters are higher than academic masters,former student cadres are higher than non-student cadres,and sports major before entering school is higher than non-sports major.It can be found from the comparison of various dimensions of psychological resilience,there are significant differences in the dimensions of tenacity and self-improvement in terms of gender and whether they are only child,but there is no significant difference in the dimension of optimism;there are significant differences in the dimensions of tenacity and optimism in terms of whether they are student leaders,while there is no significant difference in the dimension of self-improvement.3.There are significant differences in the level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan in terms of different grades,athlete ranks,parental education background,family location,and family annual income.The level of resilience is “postgraduate first grade students > postgraduate second grade students > postgraduate third grade students”,and the level of resilience gradually decreases with the growth of grades.The level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education and in each dimension are reflected in the trend of “first-level athletes > second-level athletes > three-level athletes” from high to low.It is worth mentioning that the level of resilience of students without athletic rank is higher than the students with third-class athletes,but lower than the students with first-class athletes and second-class athletes.The level of psychological resilience of students in different families is shows that “urban area> county area(town)> rural area”.With the increase of annual family income,the level of students' resilience has gradually improved.The higher the education level of parents,the higher the level of resilience of students.The mean value of students' resilience whose parents' educational background were college,undergraduate,master and above is as high as 4 points.4.Because there are many factors affecting postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan Province in this survey,the influencing factors are classified into eight factors by factor analysis method: professional identity factor,self-cognitive factor,interpersonal relationship factor,employment factor,academic achievement factor,training experience factor and family environment factor and network dependence factor.The investigation shows that there is no previous research on postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan Province.This paper investigates the current situation of the level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan Province,and summarizes the influencing factors on the basis of this research,so as to put forward the reference suggestions to improve the level of postgraduate students' resilience in physical education in Yunnan Province.
