Research On Social Organizations' Participation In Community Public Space Operation

The community public space is the public area where the resident can enjoy their community lives,and also an effective platform for people to participate in community affairs.With the deepening of the harmonious community constructions.Community public spaces have become a hot spot,they are related with the life quality of the community and the sense of belonging.Therefore,improving community public spaces has become the internal demand of community construction.However,at present,most of them are idle and not used by the residents.Mainly because of the lack of space operators or the lack of capacity of the operating entities.With the transformation of the economic society and the decentralization of the government power,social organizations are becoming more and more important in the management of the community.Social organizations to operate community space,build a comprehensive community platform for residents to help each other,to meet the diversity of communities and the diversified needs of residents,which has gradually become a new trend of community governance.QM Social Work Service Center in Hangzhou is taken as example in this paper,through the author's personal internship and the interview with the manager of social organization,the staff of the community and the resident,this paper aims to explore the necessity to let social organizations take charge of the community public space.What's more,problems like the mechanism not to be perfect.the management not to be impeccable,the low quality of service and the weak sense of participation,are also mentioned.In the middle of the thesis,reasons are written.For example,the developments of social organizations are limited by government,some social organizations have limited capacity for self-development,lack of community support and insufficient participation of residents.Finally,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the participation of social organizations in the space,using governance theory,resource interdependence theory,empowerment theory and embedding theory to analyze,which contain three main subject:the government,the community and the social organization.
