Innovation is the soul of a nation’s progress and the inexhaustible driving force for national prosperity.With the deepening of new curriculum reform,primary school mathematics teaching is in urgent need of changing the traditional teaching method of centralized thinking,so that students’ thinking can be diverged in multiple directions under the guidance of teachers.Based on the theoretical study of divergent thinking,this paper proposes the teaching design strategy of cultivating students’ divergent thinking in primary school mathematics class,so as to improve the students’ divergent thinking ability.This study mainly adopts "literature research method","questionnaire survey method","interview method","case analysis method".The main content of this paper is as follows :(1)through consulting relevant domestic and foreign literature,to understand the research status of divergent thinking at home and abroad,introduced the definition,characteristics and theoretical basis of divergent thinking;(2)the "interview method" and "questionnaire survey method" were used to investigate the math teachers and students in a primary school in liaocheng,and the survey results were analyzed to understand the application status of divergent thinking in the math class of primary school.(3)by studying the teaching design strategies of divergent thinking at home and abroad and combining the teaching practice,this paper puts forward the teaching design strategies of cultivating students’ divergent thinking in primary school mathematics class;(4)the "case analysis method" is used to analyze the cases of "direct proportion" and "chicken and rabbit together cage problem" in primary school mathematics,so as to provide a reference for primary school mathematics teachers to train students’ divergent thinking in class.The research shows that :(1)it is necessary and feasible to cultivate students’ divergent thinking in primary school mathematics class;(2)the teaching of divergent thinking is conducive to improving students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning mathematics and cultivating their innovative ability;(3)teaching with divergent thinking is conducive to enriching teachers’ teaching methods,establishing democratic,harmonious and equal teacher-student relationship,and meeting the requirements of the newcurriculum reform.
