The release of the "Common High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition,2020 revision)"(hereinafter referred to as the new standards)and the application of the A-edition textbooks have A great impact on high school mathematics education.It is required to develop students’ innovative consciousness and creative ability to publish the curriculum standard of high school mathematics.In the new high school entrance examination,the investigation of students’ divergent thinking and mathematical ability has been gradually implemented in the college entrance examination questions,increasing the openness of the questions and testing students’ divergent thinking ability.American psychologist Guilford once said: "divergent thinking is the core of creative thinking",so we can see that it is very important to cultivate students’ divergent thinking.Some teachers have also started to carry out research,hoping to develop students’ divergent thinking in teaching.However,the current research situation is that there are more theoretical researches and less practical researches,especially in mathematics.This research aims to supplement the teaching research on divergent thinking in mathematics.This paper explores the reasons that influence the development of students’ divergent thinking in mathematics and the feasibility of training students’ divergent thinking in mathematics.At the beginning of this paper,I used the literature research method to read the domestic and foreign literatures related to divergent thinking,and sorted out the relevant theoretical knowledge and teaching methods which are suitable for Chinese teaching,suitable for Chinese students and suitable for this study,and made corresponding adjustments according to the mathematics teaching.On the basis of literature research,this paper presents the divergent thinking in mathematics of two classes in the high school where the internship is conducted to understand the current situation of students’ divergent thinking in mathematics.According to the results of literature reading,practical observation of students and interviews with teachers,this paper analyzes the factors that influence the development of students’ divergent thinking in mathematics from three aspects: students,teachers and schools,and carries out targeted teaching practices according to the existing problems.At the end of the internship period,post-test was carried out on the two classes of the experiment,and it was found that the scores of the experimental class and the control class were significantly different,and the growth degree of divergent thinking in the experimental class was higher than that in the control class,which proved the feasibility of the cultivation of students’ divergent thinking in mathematics.Finally,this paper summarizes the practical investigation and gives six teaching suggestions: "reasonable" use of the problem solving table,"thoroughly" new textbooks and new curriculum standards,"appropriate" use of teaching strategies,"balance" to collect and divergent thinking,"shape" a good classroom atmosphere,"attach importance" to developing students’ divergent thinking.
