The mathematical language plays a very important role in mathematical communication and development which has specific form and carrying with mathematical thought and knowledge.In the actual teaching process,I found that the mathematical language learning barrier of rural high school students greatly affected their mastery and application of mathematical knowledge,Therefore the investigation was carried out.The paper is based on theoretical background and realistic demand and combined with the situation of the students in first and second grade,which attempt to understand the types and influencing factors of mathematical language barriers in rural high schools through literature analysis,questionnaire survey method,individual interview.After investigating and analyzing,the conclusions are as below:The rural high school students still exist mathematical language identifying barrier,comprehending barrier,transforming barrier,structuring barrier,organizing and expressing barrier.Deferent grade students have different mathematical language barriers.The first and second grades both have greatly different in five type of mathematical language studying barriers.It's obvious that the grade one do well in the mathematical identifying and comprehending,and the grade two is good at mathematical language transforming and structuring.The mathematical language barrier is not obvious between boys and girls.It means that the mathematical language studying barrier is not related to the gender,but the student who get different grade exists different degree mathematical language studying barriers.on the one hand,the students with good mathematical achievement have relatively mild learning disabilities in mathematical language studying barriers,on the other hand,the degree of mathematical language learning disability amongstudents with poor and poor math achievement is more serious.In addition,the five types of mathematical language barriers are not existed by themselves,they are connected and infuse each other.Finally,combining linguistic and psychological theories knowledge,this paper analyses the causes of mathematical language barriers from the aspects of students themselves,teachers and the characteristics of mathematical language.Some teaching suggestions are put forward to help senior high school students overcome the obstacles of mathematical language learning: first,improving mathematical language literacy,attaching importance to teaching of the mathematical language;second,to understand the student,and help them set up the correct motivation;third,Using multimedia technology to create situations and stimulate students' interest in learning;fourth,Focusing on the intertranslation of three form language,improving students' cognitive ability;fifth;developing mathematical reading habits and improving students' mathematical language literacy.
