The history of chemistry records the development of chemistry,reveals the origin of chemistry,records and reproduces the evolution of chemical thoughts and the development of chemical knowledge,shows the close relationship between chemistry and human progress,and contains rich chemical knowledge,scientific research methods,scientific spirit and scientific attitude.The teaching based on the history of chemistry can not only help students understand the origin and development of knowledge,clarify the essence of the discipline,but also improve students' scientific and humanistic qualities.As the enlightenment stage of chemistry,the teaching based on the history of chemistry can effectively improve students' subject literacy,rooted in patriotism,guide students to treat chemistry and social relations objectively,and lay the foundation for realizing the goal of cultivating people by virtue.At present,the research on the history of chemistry mainly focuses on the function of the history of chemistry,the presentation of the history of chemistry in textbooks,etc.There are few practical teaching based on the history of chemistry in the third grade teaching.Therefore,the research of this topic is proposed in order to integrate the content of chemical history in and out of class for teaching design,teaching practice research,highlighting the necessity and effectiveness of chemical history teaching practice.Based on the analysis of the research status of chemistry history abroad,the research status of chemistry history education in China and its combination with junior high school chemistry,and the concept of compulsory education curriculum standard,this paper expounds the background,purpose,significance,ideas and methods of the research,and defines the concepts of chemistry history and teaching practice.Then,through questionnaires,we investigate the understanding of chemistry history among the freshmen in senior high school and the teaching situation of chemistry history used by the teachers in junior high school,clarify the educational function of chemistry history in junior high school chemistry teaching,integrate the contents of chemistry history inside and outside of the ninth grade chemistry textbook in Guangdong edition,and divide the functions.On this basis,guided by constructivist learning theory,situational learning theory,humanistic learning theory and new curriculum standard concept,the principles of teaching design based on chemical history are put forward: seeking truth from facts,inspiring thinking,educating people and stimulating interest,and the corresponding strategies are constructed:(1)analyzing the contents of textbooks and excavating relevant knowledge of chemical history;(2)integrating teaching methods to show the development process of chemical history;(3)paying attention to students' participation and implementing the educational function of chemical history;(4)extracting implicit ideas and highlighting the educational value of chemical history.In order to test the validity of the cases designed by the principles and Strategies of the teaching design of chemical history,a multi-semester teaching practice study was carried out in two parallel classes of Class 6 and Class 7 of Grade 3 of the Foreign Language School affiliated to Guangxi Normal University.In the course of the research,the effect of the practical research is analyzed by means of interviews and questionnaires,focusing on the students' understanding of the history of chemistry and their interest in learning,scientific literacy,humanistic literacy,and the change of their chemical achievements.The following conclusions are drawn: based on the teaching practice of chemical history,it is helpful to stimulate students' interest in learning,help students understand the subject knowledge,and improve students' scientific and humanistic literacy.Because the research object is limited,the research time is relatively short,the ability of the research object changes implicitly,the ability and energy of the researchers themselves are limited,and there are still some shortcomings in this study.Therefore,how to maximize the educational function of the teaching design based on the history of chemistry needs to be further improved and developed.
