Family and school are the two main fields in the growth and development of teenagers.The organization,purpose and systematicness of school education complement with the informality and flexibility of family education each other,and they cooperate in the growth and development of children with each other.It is inevitable.At present,all countries and regions pay great attention to home-school cooperation.However,the situation of parents’ participation in home-school cooperation in urban and rural areas is quite different.Compared with the city,the rural areas need more cooperation between home and school in a sense,because the educational ability of rural parents is relatively weak.Through the cooperation between home and school,rural parents can enter the school and understand the school,which can improve the educational ability of parents.Literature on rural home-school cooperation is seldom studied from the perspective of parents’ participation,but the author believes that it is precisely because of the characteristics of parents’ group that home-school cooperation in each region is different from the general sense of home-school cooperation.Therefore,this study focuses on the perspective of parents’participation in rural home-school cooperation.This research mainly includes three parts:the present situation,influencing factors and improving strategies of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation.Specific contents include the following:(1)Describe the present situation of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation consciousness and practice by descriptive analysis of the results of the questionnaire and the contents of interviews.(2)In the process of analyzing the influence of parents’ participation in home-school cooperation,analysis of parents’ factors,students’ factors and school’s factors by means of single factor analysis of variance and independent sample T test.And make a supplementary analysis of qualitative materials from the interviews.(3)According to the problem that rural parents participate in home-school cooperation,this paper proposes the advance strategy of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation from the parents,schools and teachers’ levels.The current situation of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation:(1)The current situation of rural parents’ consciousness of participation in home-school cooperation:Most parents have formed the sense that family and school need to cooperate,but in practice they have shown some inappropriate views of cooperation.Most rural parents respect teachers in the process of communicating with teachers,communicate with teachers smoothly,and barely put forward the query of teachers’opinions.Rural parents’ willingness to participate in home-school cooperation is generally high,but the actual participation rate of home-school cooperation is lower than the willingness to participate.The main purpose of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation is to promote children’s overall development and understand their children’s school performance.(2)The current situation of rural parents’ practice of participation in home-school cooperation:There are 14 main ways of rural parents’participation in home-school cooperation.The level of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation is low in a whole.The main content of rural parents’participation in home-school cooperation is the study of children.Rural parents’participation in home-school is mainly dominated by school.Most of the parents are satisfied with the current situation of home-school cooperation.The Influence factor of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation:(1)There is no significant difference in the level of family-school cooperation participation between parents of different ages and sexes.Educational views of rural parents affect their views on home-school relationship and their willingness to participate in home-school cooperation.There are significant differences in the level of family-school cooperation participation between parents with different educational background and family income.(2)There are no significant differences in the level of parent-school cooperation participation among students of different grades,genders,academic achievements,and whether they are single child or not.(3)There are significant differences in the level of parents’ participation in home-school cooperation among different school stages.Schools have positive influence on parents’ participation in home-school cooperation in such aspects as planning system,activities development and organization construction.Teachers’ attitudes and abilities towards home-school cooperation have a positive impact on parents’ participation in home-school cooperationThe improvement strategies of rural parents’ participation in home-school cooperation:(1)Strengthen propaganda,education and train for parents and develop community education.(2)Improve the planning system,enrich home-school activities and develop inter-school alliances at the school level.(3)Correct teachers’ awareness,improve teachers’ abilities and set up teachers’ team at the teacher level. |
