At present,many researchers have done a lot of research on the issue of male teachers entering the kindergarten.Those who advocate for an increase in the number of males in early childhood education have focused on the potential benefits that male teachers play an important role in the development of children.Some of them assumed benefits are based on the assumption that boys need more male role models in early childhood services,there are also some opinions that male teachers entering kindergarten may deepen the gender stereotype of children.However,there have been few studies that have sought to understand children's perspectives on male teachers in early childhood education.This research is based on previous studies and a large number of initial observation and interview.Combining random sampling and purposive sampling,40 kids aged 5-6 years old were selected from two kindergartens in S city to express their perceptions of male teachers.The research shows: The male teachers in kindergarten are outstanding in the field of physical exercise from children's perspectives;The mathematics activities carried out by male teachers in the form of games are very popular among children;Male teachers' participation in language activities is of great significance to boys' language development;Children think that male teachers are fair and principled;The male teachers in kindergarten are more brave than female teachers from the perspective of children.The study found that children's views and opinions on male teachers were influenced by kindergarten's curriculum,culture and gender stereotypes.Based on these findings,the author put forward five suggestions.First,pay attention to listening to children's views and understanding of male teachers in kindergarten;Second,Kindergartens should pay attention to the curriculum and cultural support for male teachers;Third,colleges and universities should actively cooperate with kindergartens to train male teachers.Fourth,strengthen scientificgender education for young children;Fifth,male teachers should pay attention to their value construction and professional development.
