With the rapid development of China's society,the mental health problems of middle school students are becoming more and more prominent,especially for the rural high school students.They are subject to the academic achievements,the interpersonal and the pressures and challenges of competition for higher education,which comes from the external environment such as family,school and society.There are resistances and disturbances from self-personal growth and emotional and emotional confusion.Therefore,studying the relationship between optimism,persistence and depression in rural high school students,and exploring the underlying causes that affect the mental health and academic performance of rural high school students,effectively carry out mental health education and counseling work for rural high school students,and provide scientific basis for improving the mental health of high school students.This study mainly used the questionnaire survey method.The main tools of the questionnaire survey were the Youth Optimism Questionnaire,the Persistence Questionnaire and the Beck Depression Self-Assessment Questionnaire(BDI).A random survey on 316 rural high school students from 7 classes in a high school and high school in Hezhou,Guangxi.The survey data was processed by SPSS22.0,and the independent group t test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis and rank regression analysis were carried out.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The optimistic five dimensions of high school students are significantly correlated with persistence and depression.The five dimensions of optimism are positively correlated with persistence and negatively correlated with depression.Persistence and depression exist Negative correlation.2.The optimism,persistence and depression of rural high school students are significantly related to academic achievement.Optimism and persistence have a significant positive impact on academic performance.Depression has a significant negative impact on academic performance.3.Persistence plays a part of mediating role between optimism,mathematics achievement and total achievement.
