The Impact Of Network Faultline On Knowledge Sharing In Technological Innovation Network

Technological innovation network is an important carrier and organization form of the cooperative innovation among enterprises,which has a unique network structure.How to effectively use the advantages of technological innovation network to improve the level of knowledge sharing in the technology innovation network have become one of the hot issues that concerned by scholars and practitioners who relate to the technical innovation.With the deepening of the research,some scholars from the modular structural perspective of the medium level have found there is an obvious phenomenon of 'Embracing' in the technological innovation network.Scholars define the local small groups formed by the close relationship among enterprises as subgroups.At the team level,some scholars put forward the team faultline and they think that it's faultlines that lead to the formation of subgroup.At the network level,even though some scholars have concerned the 'Embracing'in technology innovation network and consider it can affect the network structure,but the researches about how the network structural change affects the knowledge flow and performance in the whole technology innovation network still be scarce,the related theoretical analysis and empirical test need be further explored.Based on the existing research problems,with the aid of faultline theory and combined with the 'Embracing' in the technology innovation network,this paper preliminarily defines the concept of network faultline and discusses its influence on knowledge sharing.First of all,this paper analyzes the connotation of network faultline which based on the mature theory of social network theory and diversity theory,combining with the techical innovation network structure,resource characteristics.Secondly,this paper analyzes the effect of network faultline on the technology innovation network kno.wledge sharing combined with the social identity theory,the embedded theory and the network power theory.In addition,this paper puts network ties as regulated variable into analytical framework in accordance with the actual interaction situation of network to analyze the moderating effect of network connection on the relationship between network faultline and knowledge sharing thus to put forward relevant research hypothesis.Thirdly,measuring the variables on the basis of the existing research to design questionnaires,and getting data through the field research and distributing mails then carrying on an empirical research by using the multiple regression analysis.Finally,this paper obtains the following conclusions through the theoretical analysis and practical data,1.The negative impact of knowledge faultline on knowledge sharing in technological innovation network is significant.2.The intensity of the relationship faultline is higher,the more fission can be perceived by the members,which is bad for the knowledge sharing in overall network.3.Power faultline has a negative effect on knowledge sharing in technological innovation network.4.The impact of knowledge faultline and relationship faultline on knowledge sharing are negatively moderated by friendship ties.5.The animosity ties positively moderate the relationship between the knowledge faultline,power faultline and knowledge sharing.
