People's life must go through four important stages: birth ceremony,adult ceremony,wedding ceremony and funeral ceremony.Adult ceremony is a complete educational activity that includes the main body of education,educational goals,educational content,educational methods,etc.Adolescents are truly entering adult society.Young people have always been concerned by people.In the current context,they face new problems and challenges.At the same time,adult rituals make a difference in the field of school education.Rite of passage education in school provides an opportunity and a way for the solution of youth problems.It provides the necessary guidance and help to adolescents' growth smoothly and healthily and pushes adults to complete the transition from minors to adults.The educational function of coming of age in China has been given full attention since ancient times,but the adult rites of the Qing Dynasty were abolished.Until the early 1990 s,adult rituals reappeared.On October 30,2017,the Ministry of Education issued the "Guidelines for the Curriculum of Comprehensive Practical Activities in Primary and Secondary Schools",proposing that adult education as a compulsory course in high school,and entering the school classroom in this form for the first time,but there are problems such as formalization and hollowness.How to make the rite of passage program in school have a positive and effective role in the educational and this is a realistic issue that worthy of consideration.American society has different groups of European,Asian,African American and Latino,including six basic coming of age programs type community-oriented,private-led,religious-led,specialized counseling-led,family-oriented,and school-led.The African-American adolescence education program has been in existence for decades.It is mature and perfect relatively.The project is aimed to prove a series of problems,for example high-crime rates,low enrollment rate,high dropout rate,and low academic achievement of African-American youth.It aims to help African-American teenagers to better transform into adult society,enhance their social responsibility,assume certain social responsibilities,better adapt to society and integrate into society.The most fundamental thing is to help young people gain identity and national identity.African-American black culture is influenced by the different cultures and traditional root culture.They create a sense of crisis of identity,on the one hand they can not lose its deep-rooted African traditional culture,on the other hand can not resist the impact of mainstream white culture from the United States.At the moment,African-American black culture has become an indispensable part of American national culture.African-American black culture has undergone a process from fracture to absorption to reconstruction.The process of African-American black culture moving from the edge to the center,provides thinking and valuable experience for the culture of other ethnic minorities in the United States,as well as the cultural development and orientation of Chinese minorities.The African-American adult rite of passage education program in the context of the US multicultural education policy has achieved certain results after decades of practice.Through the research on the African-American youth adult education project,the background of its implementation is explored,and the characteristics and advantages of its operation are found,it provides the inspiration of adult education in Chinese schools.
