Playing games is humans’ nature,especially for students in primary and secondary schools.They are more willing to accept the form of lesson which games are used in the class.The Games teaching method of Chinese as a foreign language combines the nature of students’ love of playing games with the content of Chinese teaching,improves the traditional boring teaching atmosphere,and solves the problems of students’ inefficiency in learning and being distracted in the classroom.However,not all the domestic classroom game forms are available for Chinese teaching in Thailand.Due to cultural differences and improper understanding,the teaching effects are not obvious when applying the game forms that Chinese children are familiar with to Thai children.Therefore,using local game forms,combining the Chinese teaching content with the game forms may receive better teaching effects.Which truly achieving teaching Chinese through lively activities.On the basis of summarizing the various studies on games teaching methods domestic and abroad,this paper affirms the value and role of the games teaching method,and then puts forward its own views on the use of game teaching methods: Combining the local game forms with Chinese teaching content.Subsequently,the author investigated the local game forms in Thailand by issuing questionnaires to volunteer teachers who is teaching Chinese in Thailand,inquiring about local teachers and students in the author’s own schools,personally observing the local teachers’ lessons,and observing the students after class.Then combined the Thai native game forms with Chinese teaching content which suitable for Chinese classrooms.Through using cases analyzing and theories researching methods,"vocabulary games,conversation games,chapter games" is carried out,and the merits and limitations of these cases are summarized,and corresponding solutions are proposed to provide new references for Chinese teachers use games as teaching methods. |
