“Generation” is the routine of the classroom teaching.In the process of teaching,the proper management of “new generation”is the key to the effectiveness of classroom teaching,for “generation” itself means the development of students’ mind,and the solution of the “generative” questions also needs the divergent thinking and creation.With the new curriculum reform advancing,the “subject position” of students’ development has been taken seriously by most of the educators,and “generative teaching” has also embodied the concept of “students’ subject position.” In the real teaching,however,the issues of “generative teaching” have not been paid due attention to and these issues can not be dealt effectively and efficiently.In addition,“generative teaching” has not been understood and judged correctly.All this affects the effectiveness of the classroom teaching and the development of students’ thinking ability.In order to enhance teachers’ understanding and implementation of generative teaching and to solve history teachers’ puzzlement in the local teaching practice,the author has analyzed and studied the generative teaching of history in the local senior high schools and found that the existing problems focus on two aspects: firstly,impeding students’ generation;secondly,not making full use of the students’ generation.Based on the teaching practice and the exploration with the fellow teachers,the author arrives at the conclusion that teachers are the most important factor in generative teaching and their overall quality plays a crucial role in the success of generative teaching.As for history teaching,the models such as circumstance review teaching,problem-exploration teaching,literature study teaching,society investigation teaching,are the ways to carry out generative teaching effectively.Through a series of generative teaching experiments,it is found that generative teaching improves students’ quality greatly and highlights students’ subject position.Moreover,it can also improve teachers’ comprehensive quality and the efficiency of the classroom teaching.All this is what the new curriculum reform aims at.
