| Liu Guyu(1843-1903) is not only a famous thinker,master of Confucian classics and neo-confucianism in northwest China,but also an outstanding educator.He put forward a series of educational thoughts with rich connotation,among which the thought of moral education is one of them.His moral thoughts were based on philosophy,education.On the one hand,he was influenced by Confucianism in song and Ming dynasties,On the other hand,he was inherited neo-confucianism culture in guanzhong.He developed his Characteristic moral educational system in the concrete educational practice.His noble and firm virtue,his spirit of seeking prosperity and power for the country,and his rigorous and diligent attitude in academic research had a profound impact on his disciples and even the private scholars.In his more than 30 years of educational career,Liu guyu cultivated a large number of capable people with lofty ideals,one of them committed to the reform of the revolution and national business,others devoted to academic education and the world’s practical things,to save the country.In short,under the influence of Liu guyu’s high moral character,the disciples made up their minds to inspire shame and make contributions to social revolution and education.It not only changed the social atmosphere of extravagance and laziness in guanzhong at that time,but also promoted the process of social modernization in northwest China,and Even has produced certain influence to the present education in the northwest.This article mainly adopts the literature method and the survey method.First of all,through in-depth study "Liu Guangfen " and other relevant data,explored the relatively complete moral education system in reference on the basis of predecessors’ research results.The second,through field visited to senior scholars engaged in the study of Liu Guyu’s thoughts in shanxi.We communicated and discussed face to face,which enriched the understanding and understanding of Liu Guyu’s thoughts on moral education.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background of the study,the significance of the study,research status,research ideas and methods.The second part expounds the background of the formation of Liu guyu’s thought of moral education,which including the dark reality of the late Qing dynasty society,Confucian traditional culture education,personal unique life experience.The third part discusses Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education.It includes the theoretical basis of the theory of human nature,the concept of "justice and interests,rational desire",the purpose,objective,content,principles and methods of moral education.The fourth part evaluates Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education from three aspects:characteristics,historical contribution and limitations.Through a comprehensive review of Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education,it is found that Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education has a deep influence on guanzhong region,which not only has played a role in changing customs and improving the atmosphere of northwest China,but also has made great contributions to promoting the modernization of northwest China.To make the past serve the present is one of the key measures for the progress of human history.Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education not only had an important impact on the northwest region at that time,but also inspired the contemporary with its rich connotation,unique contemporaneity and innovation.The deep excavation and study of Liu Guyu’s thought of moral education have enlightenment and reference significance to the contemporary moral education construction. |
