The ternary interaction theory holds that the environment has the function of cognizing, regulating, and strengthening human behavior. The early childhood stage is a crucial period for cultivating the habits of etiquette civilization.Developing good etiquette habits can make children more independent and more autonomous in the future growth path. This thesis focuses on the cultivation of children’s etiquette, based on the ternary interaction theory, and multimodality is the main training method.Exploring strategies and patterns for children’s etiquette training, the thesis consists of five parts:First, based on the literature, the theory of ternary interaction and the origin and development of multimodality are introduced. The content of child etiquette training is proposed, which is communication etiquette, manners, etiquette.Through reading the literature, the relationship between ternary interaction theory, child etiquette and multimodality is analyzed.Secondly, the author proposes the interaction between the etiquette culture environment and the elements of the children. The environment,as the core part of the ternary interaction theory, has a significant impact on children’s etiquette learning. The environment can help young children to improve their etiquette and cognitive ability, and guide their children to establish a correct concept of etiquette.According to the ternary interaction theory, the multi-modal children’s etiquette training is: designing interesting teaching courses;creating training strategies and processes in line with children’s cognitive structure;creating a multi-modal training environment;constructing a multi-child etiquette learning mode.Through the above means to stimulate children’s etiquette learning motivation, cultivate etiquette learning interest. Then, the training objectives and design principles of the multi-modality of children’s etiquette are proposed, including the integration of the interaction between the child’s subject and the environment, and the potential value of intelligent media for etiquette training.According to the characteristics of children’s learning, the core elements of children’s etiquette design are analyzed. On the basis of ternary interaction theory,a ceremonial multi-modal training model that meets the development of children’s mind and body is designed. Finally, the author selected 110 children aged 3-6 years to conduct a three-month ceremonial multimodal culture experiment based on the ternary interaction theory. The children were divided into two groups, and the etiquette behavior was classified.According to the children’s etiquette behavior questionnaire and the children’s etiquette training interest scale, the data before and after the experiment were collected. The statistical analysis of the application effect of the multimodal culture model was carried out.The mode of cultivation can stimulate the interest of children’s etiquette learning and improve the quality of children’s etiquette learning.
