The Writing of Academic Dissertations Has Special Significanc e to the Cultivation of Graduate Students,It is an important index t o reflect the academic level of graduate students.The completion of Graduate Dissertations cannot be done without the guidance of tut or.The postgraduate tutor is an academic guide,an educational servi cer,and an inspiration for postgraduate study.The level of scientific research,academic thinking and instruction style of the supervisor have important influence on the graduate students 'thesis writing.D uring the course of completing a dissertation,are graduate students e ffectively guided by their mentors ?How do graduate students expec t mentors to guide? That's what we need to focus on.This paper focus on the expectation of graduate students to the supervisor's dissertation.I will analyze from three dimensions: guidi ng frequency,guiding mode and guiding content.Selected three uni versities in Hunan,I will conduct a questionnaire survey among gra duate students of different specialties.According to investigation,we f ound that there is Great Gap Between the Tutor's Guidance of Gra duate Dissertations and the Graduate's Expectation.This difference is reflected in the degree thesis instruction frequency is on the low s ide,the guidance way is single,the instruction content is not detailed enough,the graduate student expects too much of the tutor.Aiming at these problems,I analyze the reasons and puts forw ard some suggestions on strengthening the Guidance of Postgraduate Dissertations:The Education administration should perfect the Gradu ate Admission System to guarantee the quality of students;Colleges and universities should optimizing Postgraduate Curriculum Structure,provide adequate research training conditions and up-to-date learning resources;The tutor should enhance the sense of responsibility and provide the students with Efficient and comprehensive guidance;Post graduates should improve the consciousness of writing the thesis an d strengthen the communication with the supervisor.
