The first volume of "Chinese Language" published by Korea Zhengjin Press and the first volume of "Chinese Language" published by Genius Press are both Chinese native textbooks commonly used in Korean high schools. The purpose of compiling two Korean high school Chinese textbooks is to stimulate students' learning motivation, cultivate their ability to communicate in Chinese and understand interesting Chinese culture.Studying and comparing the illustrations of the two textbooks is helpful to sum up the experience of localization and nationalization of Chinese textbooks. The two textbooks have exquisite binding, abundant illustration forms, occupy more space, and have a higher level of design editing. The contents of illustrations and textbooks complement and match each other, which has a good teaching effect.Among them, there are three main characteristics.Firstly, the frequency of updating illustrations is relatively fast, and it is updated every five years on average.Secondly, the introduction of illustrations for each unit can enable students to quickly understand the content of the unit. The third is the cultural and practice links in the textbooks, which use storytelling illustrations to enhance the interest of Chinese teaching.Suggestions for revision are put forward: the title of Chinese textbook should be added to the cover, more Chinese cultural elements can be used in layout design, timely updating and adjustment of text illustrations, and more Chinese style elements can be borrowed from decorative illustrations.
