Guangdong Province is the gateway to the south of China and the largest province in economic and demographic development.The excellent amateur male marathon runners in our province have achieved excellent results in the large-scale marathon races in China and the seven consecutive Guangzhou International Marathon races,but there are still some gaps compared with the excellent male marathon runners in other regions.At present,various competitive sports in our country are emphasizing physical fitness training in succession.Marathon is a typical endurance type of physical fitness.Therefore,good physical fitness,scientific and systematic physical fitness training is conducive to the improvement and development of marathon performance.In this paper,108 amateur male marathon runners and marathon coaches(instructors)in Guangdong Province were investigated.Through the methods of literature,questionnaire and measurement,this paper analyses and studies the physical fitness and physical training of excellent amateur male marathon runners,and concludes the following conclusions:1.Excellent amateur men's marathon runners are aged from 26 to 30 years,and have a sports life of 3 to 5 years.2.Generally speaking,the body shape indexes of excellent amateur male marathon runners are better.They are light in height,long in lower limbs and large in stride.The burden of overcoming body weight during exercise is relatively small,and they can reduce the impact of landing feet.The body function index reaches the excellent standard,and the respiratory function level of excellent amateur male marathon runners is relatively high.?3.The main training qualities of excellent amateur men's marathon runners concentrate on the comprehensive physical training of basic qualities such as strength,speed and endurance.Speed endurance is an important factor affecting marathon performance.4.More than half of the outstanding amateur men's marathon runners have targeted training before the race,which mainly concentrates on 1-3 months.They maintain training volume of 120-150 kilometers per month at 3-4 times per week.The main training methods are focused on continuous training method,which has a scientific training concept.5.There is a certain gap between excellent amateur male marathoners' physical fitness training plan and professional athletes.The training means are relatively single.The tracking and monitoring of sports training process is not timely enough.The selection of part of physical fitness training content and training methods need to be improved.Strengthening professional guidance helps to improve amateur athletes' training effects and achievements.6.The problems in physical training of excellent amateur male marathon runners are lack of systematic training,unreasonable training arrangement,low training volume,lack of scientific training guidance,single training method and inadequate preparation before competition.
