A Study On The Mental Health Of Students In Rural Boarding Schools

With the implementation of the "rural boarding school construction project" in China,the mental health of students in rural boarding schools has gradually become one of the important issues in the process of rural basic education reform.The life of students in rural boarding schools is relatively closed,and the students' unprepared to the collective life of schools will inevitably have an impact on their mental health.In this study,a nine-year boarding school in Beijing was selected as the research object.Questionnaires,interviews and observation were used to investigate the mental health problems of students in rural boarding schools.The results showed that students in rural boarding schools mainly suffered from anxiety,learning pressure,maladjustment and emotional imbalance.Combining with interviews,the study pressure of boarding students was found.Force problems are closely related to family counseling,school teaching objectives and teaching ideas;students' emotional imbalance is closely related to parent-child relationship and teacher-student relationship;students' maladjustment is mainly reflected in their adaptability to boarding life,school teaching methods and class atmosphere.In view of students' mental health problems and their causes,the author puts forward solutions from three aspects: school level should build a team of psychological teachers,strengthen students' mental health and academic counseling;family level should pay attention to students' mental health education,cultivate children comprehensive development;social level should strengthen social support and construct services.At the same time,we should strengthen the publicity of social work.
