“Enrollment in large category” has gradually become a reform trend of higher education.With the implementation of new College Entrance Examination reform,the changes of examination subject setting and admission mechanism increase the difference of students' knowledge structure and strengthen the competition of major in colleges,which bring opportunities and challenges to the implementation of“Enrollment in large category”.As the vehicle in the implementation of “Enrollment in large category” in college,the rational setting of enrollment categories is the basic guarantee for the effective running of “Enrollment in large category”.According to the guidance ideology of the way to set enrollment categories,by analyzing the enrollment categories' setting manner of the colleges in Zhejiang Province,which will plan to recruit students in 2020,we can deduce the current existing problems in the set of enrollment categories.Since there are significant differences in comprehensive strength between different “levels” of colleges and different types of colleges,the enrollment quantity of category and the coverage of specialty are also shown huge differences.There are four characteristics in terms of the setting manner of the enrollment categories: the extraordinary variety of enrollment category,the narrow scope of specialty coverage,the fixed methods of the way to set category,and the unreasonable naming of category,which are the current outstanding problems.To solve the problem,we need to grasp the cause of the problem.It is found that the main reasons leading to the formation of problems are the deficiency in integration of educational resources,the setting of categories is not exactly based on the actual situation of college,the comprehensive strength between colleges is quite difference and the lack of guidance in the setting of enrollment categories.The study found that colleges' selection of exam subjects set by different specialty clusters can reflect the specialty clusters' characteristics in the new College Entrance Examination reform.By exploring the correlation between specialty clustersand its elective subjects,which is of great reference significance in the solution of the problems about enrollment categories' setting.Truly,the optimization and adjustment of the enrollment categories needs to base on colleges' actual conditions,whether it is followed the “discipline logic”,“human development logic” or “industry logic”,it is necessary to contribute to the achievement of talent-cultivating goals.Colleges should take advantage of the mutual support between specialties to form a better cross-over advantage,and expand the enrollment categories through the effective integration of educational resources.While constructing enrollment categories,colleges should also pay attention to the rational setting of the selection of exam subjects in order to promote the organic integration between different specialties,and strive to introduce suitable students in the enrollment phase.
