With the publication of the 2017 edition of the Standards for Ideological and Political Courses in Senior High Schools,the reform of Ideological and political courses in senior high schools in China has also ushered in a new stage.The new curriculum standard emphasizes the cultivation of students' core discipline literacy,and puts forward that students should have correct values,and adapt to the rapid development of society's conduct and ability.In the new curriculum standard,it is emphasized that we should construct an activity-based curriculum,pay attention to students'real life and requirements,let students learn to explore independently and cooperate in learning by applying the knowledge in class to practice,and truly accept and practice the socialist core values from the heart.The topic-based teaching method is an important way to construct an active classroom and achieve teaching objectives.Therefore,the application of the topic-based teaching method should be emphasized in high school ideological and political teaching,and the front-line political teachers should grasp its application strategies.This paper mainly consists of three parts.The first part mainly introduces the connotation,characteristics,principles and significance of the topic-based teaching method.Topic-based teaching refers to taking the topic as the carrier of activities,relying on the theoretical knowledge of political subjects,letting students learn independently and participate in an orderly manner,and under the guidance of teachers,grasping theoretical knowledge and cultivating subject literacy in practical activities by solving the problems surrounding the design of topics.Topic-based teaching method has the characteristics of practicality,openness and subjectivity.Ideological and political course in senior high school is different from other subjects,which not only contains knowledge learning,but also has a strong moral education function.Therefore,when applying topic-based teaching method in Ideological and political course,we should pay special attention to combining science with ideology,and pay attention to guiding students'value and training students.We also should develop students' correct worldview.In the second part,a teaching plan for the use of topic-based teaching method is designed by choosing a box in the ideological and political textbook of senior high school.With the help of the convenience during the internship,it is applied to the high school classroom to record the students' reaction and teaching effect.After observing the teaching of other teachers,it reflects and summarizes the problems of the topic-based teaching method.The main problems lie in three aspects:deviating from the new teaching idea,choosing the topic does not accord with the teaching goal,and lacking the effect of the implementation of the topic-based teaching method.Then the reasons are found through the problems:mainly from teachers,students and teaching environment to discuss the factors affecting the topic-based teaching.The third part,aiming at the problems arising from the topic-based teaching method in the second part,puts forward the corresponding solutions.This paper will elaborate on five aspects:renewing teaching concept,mastering the implementation requirements of topic-based teaching method;basing on teaching implementation objectives to ensure the rationality of topic selection;developing and utilizing teaching resources to broaden the channel of topic selection;changing traditional teaching habits to create a harmonious atmosphere for discussion;focusing on students' development and ensuring the effectiveness of topic-based teaching.
