A Study On The Cultivation Of Gratitude Quality Of Poverty-stricken College Students

Understanding gratitude is not only a good moral character of human beings,but also a moral quality that college students must possess.However,since the beginning of the new century,under the attack of a bad social atmosphere,the phenomenon of lacking gratitude has occurred frequently among contemporary college students.Poor College students,as a special group,have received a lot of social support,and has also borne the hope of their families.People naturally have more expectations of their gratitude quality.Some college students are not grateful for their kindness,which has been criticized by all walks of life.In recent years,X public welfare organizations are committed to subsidizing poor students and actively promoting the quality of poor college students.However,there are some problems in the work,such as lacking understanding and researching on the basic situation of the recipient groups,and the way of funding needs to be optimized.In this study,161 college students of Grade 2017 funded by X Public Welfare Organizations were selected as subjects,and the cultivation of gratitude quality of poverty-stricken college students was studied by means of literature research,questionnaire survey and observation.The results of the questionnaire survey are as follows:(1)Generally speaking,poor college students have good trait gratitude;(2)there is little gender difference in gratitude awareness among poor college students;(3)college students who have received many donations in high school have a higher level of trait gratitude.(4)Donors are students who are assisted by individuals with higher level of trait gratitude than those donated by enterprises.(5)At the University stage,students who can complete more public service practice time have higher level of special gratitude.Then according to the results of the questionnaire survey,combined with relevant literature reports and researchers' observation,we can figure that there are a large number of poor college students who are not grateful.Therefore,we draw the conclusion that although poor college students have a good sense of gratitude,considering that the connotation of gratitude quality should include action factors,we still need to cultivate their gratitude quality.In view of the importance of the cultivation of gratitude quality for poor college students,considering the personality characteristics of poor college students,this paper explores the cultivation of gratitude quality for poor college students from the perspective of moral education,and the countermeasures are to follow the general law of moral cultivation and make efforts from the four aspects of "knowledge,emotion,intention and action".
