Science learning is a very important part of science education and development of young people.For a long time,the science learning behaviors and methods of young people have attracted the attention of many science education and science workers.Adolescents known as"Digital Natives" are influenced by contemporary information technology,especially emerging new media.Exploring the impact of new media on adolescent science learning is an important research topic.Firstly,through the literature review,this study sorts out the evolution and development of the connotation and extension of new media,and analyzes the theoretical exploration and practical measurement of the new media literacy conceptual model.Secondly,it adopts the international mainstream new media literacy survey tool,and combines the actual situation of Chinese youth development to carry out localization transformation,conducts a large-scale questionnaire survey,measures the level of new media literacy development of young people in China and the main factors affecting the development of young media literacy.Then,based on the relevant literature research on adolescent science education and new media application,combined with the development level and influencing factors of young people's new media literacy,the questionnaire was compiled to investigate the application status of new media in adolescent science learning.Finally,according to the survey results,the positive impact of new media on young people's science learning is summarized.The problems of new media in the application of young people's science learning in different learning situations are analyzed,and the suggestions and solutions for improving the application level of new media in Chinese youth science learning are pointed out.The research conclusions obtained in this study are as follows:(1)The development level of young media literacy in China is moderate,and there are significant differences in different regions,genders,ages and living environments.Networking,collective intelligence,trans-media navigation,judgment,simulation and play are the main factors affecting the development of new media literacy in China.(2)Young people's new media use frequency and familiarity are high.In different learning situations,new media can effectively promote young people's science learning.But new media also exist in young people's science learning applications such as new media in adolescent science learning.In the midst of being neglected,the professional science website has low influence on young people,the new media science learning experience of urban and rural youth is very different,and the new media teaching environment in rural areas is poor.(3)From the four aspects of new media innovation,platform resource construction,urban and rural science and education,and new media literacy education,build a "four-in-one" model to enhance the application level of new media in young people's science learning,and propose the following new media to improve Chinese youth science learning.Suggestions and solutions for application level:First,it is necessary to innovate new media science and education based on the characteristics of youth development.Second,it can absorb all parties'strengths and enhance the construction of network popular science platform.Third,increasing investment in rural science and education and reduce the"Digital Natives".Parents and adolescents set themselves on the initiative to enhance the new media literacy of young people and expand the new path of science learning.
