U-S cooperation refers to the partnership for between Universities and schools,which is a common call for teacher education and basic education reform.However,There have been many conflicts in U-S cooperation.The shared object is the basis of U-S cooperation,Thus,to form a shared object is a key breakthrough to promote U-S cooperation.This research is a qualitative study.Based on the third-generation"culture-history activity theory" framework,taking the cooperation between C University and W school as an example,this study use the 5D-analysis protocol to find out how to form a shared object in U-S cooperation.The research question of this study is "How to form the shared object in U-S cooperation?",which includes:1.How many stages will the shared object in U-S cooperation go through?What are the characteristics of the object in each stage?3.What are the keys to transform the shared object in each phase?4.What is the mechanism for the formation of the shared object?The theoretical basis is the "culture-history"activity theory,and the research method are developmental work research,educational investigation method,and content analysis.The research object is the cooperation of school-based research between H university and W school.The whole research lasted nearly one year,including 19 different kinds of discussions.The data analysis method is 5D discourse analysis protocol developed by David Middleton.In U-S cooperation,a shared object will go through 4 stages,first is "from fragmented object to collective object";Second is "from collective object to disintegrated object";Third is "from disintegrated object to experimental shared object";Last is;“from experimental shared object to institutionalized shared object".Meanwhile,the study also finds that,there are five main dynamic elements influencing the formation of the shared object.First,the formation of a shared object is a process of constantly overcome contradictions,and there are four pairs of internal contradictions the activity system that motivate that system.Second,the mode of cooperation directly determines the way to solve the problem,which then directly determines whether the shared object can be formed or not.Third,respecting teachers' subjectivity is the basis of cooperation.Fourth,the cultural background of China's schools and universities has an impact on the formation of shared object.Last but not least,the headmaster has a crucial influence on the shared object at least from two aspects.
