Due to the introduction of the values of Core Competencies for Chinese Students'Development,schools that carry out compulsory education have gradually placed the core competence of students into a crucial position in the past few years.Educational excursions,a new form of education in which links school education and off-campus education,is beneficial for improving students' core competence.It has been piloted in some provinces and cities since 2012,and officially incorporated into syllabus of primary and secondary schools in 2016,In 2017,the Ministry of Education officially introduced the School Education Credit System in the"Guidelines for Comprehensive Practice Curriculum for Primary and Secondary Schools".Local policies about educational excursions have issued one after another under the guidance of national policies,so the excursions have carried out not only in the first-tier cities,but also in remote and backward areas.However,many serious problems have brought to light during the implementation in poor areas.Thus,many scholars devote themselves to the research on this issue.Based on the literature review and the author's four-year-practice on educational excursion,it is,in this thesis,carried out a research on the implementation status of educational excursions in the D County,one of the state poverty-stricken counties in Hubei Province,under the guidance both the Tao Xing-zhi theory of life education and the theory of project management.Students from three junior high schools in D County,were adopted as the questionnaire respondents and some teachers,staff in travel agency as well as in educational training agency were selected as interviewees.After the research,the achievement and problems of educational excursions have been analyzed,and the underlying causes have been rethought.Finally,in order to provide some effective tactics for the poor areas,some solutions have been put forward.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first one is the introduction part,which mainly state the cause of the problem,the purpose and significance of the research,the definition of the concept,the literature review and the design of the research.In the second part,the results have been presented.The research showed that D County has to face certain problems such as lacking ideological understanding,courses,resources and professional guidance while achieving certain results in safety education and practice exploration.In the third part,the reasons why some problems existed during the implementation have been analyzed.In the fourth part,some transcendence strategy have been put forward,including strengthening policy cognition through media,establishing standard of courses with reference to the specialty of different schools,improving policy environment through overall planning and deepening the professional level by enhancing talent pool.
