As an aesthetic principle,White when black,which emphasizes the meaning of blank space,was introduced into the field of Chinese calligraphy when it was firstly put forward by Shiru Deng through Chinese painting.It has reflected the three dimensional nature of Chinese calligraphy through the way of emphasizing the blank space in the ink line.Thus,combined by the aesthetic principle of White when black,the way committed to the ink line traditional teaching has shifted into the way of blank teaching in Chinese word and chapter,which pays more attention to the comprehensive and exploratory combination.After all,this paper has described the way of exploring Chinese calligraphy teaching combined by the aesthetic principle through five parts.First,it has made a roughly conclusion about the status quo of Chinese calligraphy teaching,the research situation of domestic and foreign,and the characters of middle school students in physical and mental development.Second,after described the meaning,origin and development of White when black,the paper has lent five perspectives to separately explaining the form of White when black in Chinese calligraphy.Third,combined by some teaching experience of myself,according to the teaching material named Calligraphy Practice Guidance by teaching and research department of Guangdong institute of education and taking the junior middle school students of grade one for example,it also gives programme of teaching stroke,words,chapter and creation in Chinese calligraphy.Last,the paper has made a conclusion of the meaning of using the way of White when black.In this paper,it has not used some calligraphic works and the book word of the ancients,but some picture analysis.By this way,on one hand,it gives some theoretical basis of using White when black in Chinese calligraphy.On the other hand,not only has it rich the abstract meaning more image intuition,but also gain some abstract logical concept after intuitive analysis.
