Since the end of the 20 th century,the scale of higher education in China has changed from elitism to popularization.It has undergone a series of leap-forward expansion.In order to ensure that the quality of higher education can keep up with the speed of its scale expansion,the government has launched a series of higher education quality construction projects.However,at present,the evaluation methods of higher education quality in China are mostly government-led and result-oriented,focusing on resource reputation indicators,which resulting in a relatively single mode of evaluation subject,evaluation perspective and value orientation.In order to solve these problems,this paper examines the quality of education from the perspective of students,taking the development of students as an index to measure the quality of education.On one hand,undergraduates are the main participants in the whole process of school teaching.It will reflect the whole process of university education and help to open the black box of process evaluation by analyzing the relationship between students’ perception of school educational environment,students’ learning process,learning effect and academic achievement.On the other hand,students’ development is the foothold of education quality evaluation.The quality of school education,school educational environment and students’ learning input are the influencing factors of students’ development.The quality of education can be studied by analyzing the weighted average scores of the three factors and their relationship.Therefore,this paper takes J University as an example to conduct a case study,and it measures the relationship among the perceived school environment,students’ learning input and students’ development by introducing learning input as an intermediate variable.From the perspective of student subject and process evaluation,this paper studies the cognitive development,practical development and emotional development of J University undergraduates at the stage of undergraduate education,in order to analyze the quality of higher education for J University undergraduates.In the course of the research,this paper takes "I-E-O" model from Astin as the theoretical basis,integrates the basic dimensions of the National College Students’ Learning Input Questionnaire into the basic framework of the J University Undergraduates’ Learning Input Questionnaire.Then,this paper develops an empirical questionnaire scale and designs a questionnaire for "J University Undergraduates’ learning engagement" based on the interview results,expert opinions,J University school environment,undergraduate teaching reality,undergraduates’ learning input and undergraduates’ development reality.After collecting and sorting out the questionnaire data of Undergraduates of different majors and grades in six campuses of J University,some unqualified questionnaires were removed for data cleaning,and finally a complete database was obtained.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested by SPSS 22 software.Secondly,based on the perspective of students’ learning engagement,we use Amos 23 software to construct the structural equation model of students’ learning engagement and the influencing factors of students’ development.The results show that the educational services provided by J University have a significant impact on Undergraduates’ learning engagement,and Undergraduates’ learning engagement has a significant impact on their own development and harvest.The latent variable school environment has an impact on students’ development through the intermediary variable of students’ learning input.At the same time,in view of the diversity of Undergraduates’ background characteristics,this paper also uses the multi-group structural equation model to analyze the moderating effects of variables such as different subjects,urban and rural sources and parents’ highest educational background on Undergraduates’ learning engagement and students’ development path.Finally,based on the results of the data,this paper reflects on the improvement of the evaluation method of undergraduate education quality in J University from the perspective of education quality evaluation,and puts forward suggestions on the teaching design,education environment and service of J University from the school level,and puts forward suggestions on the improvement of students’ learning input from the student level. |
