According to the curriculum standard of compulsory education,the course of Morality and Rule of Law is a comprehensive course based on the life of junior high school students and aiming at guiding and promoting the development of junior high school students' ideological and moral character.There are many metaphorical expressions in the textbook "Morality and Rule of Law" of middle school.More and more scholars pay attention to the significance and value of metaphor in middle school teaching.In view of this reality,this paper,based on a review of metaphor studies in China and the West,proposes that we should attach importance to the use of Metaphor in Moral and Rule of Law in secondary schools.This paper applies methods of literature research method,case analysis method and experiential summary method.This paper firstly points out the meaning of metaphor in Moral and Rule of Law Classroom Teaching on the basis of explaining metaphor research from different perspectives.The scope of metaphor in moral and rule of law curriculum includes two parts: one is the metaphor occurs in the textbook of Moral and Rule of Law textbook,the other is the metaphor in morality and rule of law curriculum.Metaphor in Morality and Rule of Law is to learn and comprehend new things under the implication of the thing that students already know and are familiar with,so as to achieve the effect of educating people.The vivid effect of metaphor art is to use vivid expression to attract students' attention and interest in learning,to inspire students' thinking,and to make students suddenly enlightened.Metaphor is situational.In the specific teaching situation of Morality and Rule of Law,every metaphor involves many subjects,which are not fabricated at random,but combined in order to better convey educational ideas and achieve emotional resonance between teachers and students in the specific teaching situation.Metaphor is aesthetic,which conveys the beauty of nature to the educated through aesthetic experiences,and therefore provides aesthetic education for students'.Meanwhile,metaphor has rhetorical and aesthetic functions.Due to the characteristics and functions of metaphor,metaphor is conducive to creating a poetic,picturesque and humanistic classroom teaching in the Morality and Rule of Law course of middle school.In the teaching of morality and rule of law,teachers can skillfully use the art of metaphor to make dull content poetic through the content familiar to students,and make the rigid teaching more moving become the eloquent language.It is conducive to exerting the salutary influence of moral education like the spring breeze.Euphemism and implicity of metaphor can weaken the antagonistic psychology of communicators.At the same time,it is helpful to build a simple and life-oriented classroom teaching.Metaphor can be classified in different ways in Morality and Rule of Law in middle schools.According to the subject of using metaphor,it can be divided into the metaphor used by textbook writers and the metaphor used by famous writers.According to the origin of metaphor,it can be divided into natural metaphor based on natural things,life metaphor based on things in human life,and subject metaphor based on knowledge of various subjects.Although the academic circles have been studying the value of metaphor in moral education,in the practical application of moral education in middle schools,metaphor has not been well developed and practiced.This paper puts forward the strategy of applying metaphor in moral education in middle schools.Firstly,metaphorical thinking should be used to design teaching in the preparation of lessons.Secondly,metaphors should be used in the lead-in of aclass to attract students' attention and interest..Thirdly,metaphor should be used to promote emotion generation in the teaching of new content teaching.Finally,metaphors should be used in classroom interaction to promote knowledge internalization.
