Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of University Archives Information Management

Since the 21st century,information technology has been developing rapidly,and universities promote the connotative development vigorously.It provides a better development environment and technical foundation for strengthening and improving the work of university archives in the new period.It also points out the development path for the information management of university archives.However,many universities have encountered problems in aspects of management concept,mechanism and mode,which require the archives management personnel to think,explore,research,and propose an effective solution.The dissertation takes universities in Fujian as an example and analyzes the current situation of archives information management in universities through literature research,comparative research and investigation.Research shows that,on the one hand,the information management of university archives has already laid a preliminary infrastructure foundation,and the construction of personnel team and operation mode has achieved preliminary results.On the other hand,there are some problems in the process of promoting the information management of university archives,for example material conditions,personnel level and operation mode cannot adapt to the requirements of information development.On the basis of research,guided by the management theory of public utilities project management,public information resource management,public utilities human resources management,the dissertation explores the main reasons including relatively backward management concepts,inadequate mechanisms and unpractical management model and other constraints.Based on the analysis,the dissertation puts forward the targeted and feasible countermeasures to strengthen the information management of university archives from three aspects of management concept,management mechanism and management mode,which including efforts to improve the construction mechanism of university archives personnel,improve the standardization of university archives,and innovate the development and utilization mode of the archives information resources,and so on.At the same time,this paper also discusses the new challenges and new opportunities presented by the latest technologies such as Big Data and Cloud Computing.
