| The cultivation of geography practical ability has been advocated in the field of geography education.For example,in the 2011 Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards(Experimental Draft),"Practicality" has been proposed and taken as one of the characteristics of compulsory education geography curriculum.In 2014,a new round of curriculum reform was officially launched in China.In order to implement the fundamental task of "building up people by virtue",the Ministry of Education organized experts to re-study and formulate curriculum standards for high schools with the basic idea of "developing students’ core discipline literacy".The Geography Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition),issued by the Ministry of Education in January 2018,has established a curriculum system with the core quality of geography as the core,and cultivating students’ core quality of geography has become the fundamental task of high school geography teaching in the future.The core accomplishment of geography discipline is composed of the concept of human-earth coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographical practice,which are interrelated organic whole.Among them,regional cognition is the most basic content of high school geography curriculum.Geographic practical ability refers to people’s action ability and quality in geographic practice activities such as investigation,investigation and simulation experiments.On the basis of absorbing the existing research results,guided by the theory of cultivating regional characteristics,core geographic literacy and geographic practice ability,using the methods of questionnaire survey,observation,statistical analysis and interview,taking Qinhuangdao in Hebei Province as an example,this paper investigates and studies the cultivation of geographic practice ability of high school students based on regional characteristics,and finds out the current students’ geographic practice ability.It needs to be further strengthened,the overall understanding of the region has not really been implemented,and the ability of teachers to develop curriculum resources needs to be strengthened.Geographic practice ability is the core concept of high school geography curriculum and the main line of this paper.It is embodied in a set of high school geography textbooks.Activity module is an important position to cultivate students’ geographic practice ability.Thecultivation principles of students’ geographical practical ability mainly include adhering to the students’ principal position,coordinating the development of teachers and students,step by step and integrating theory with practice,etc.Its training strategies mainly include implementing the teaching concept of "geographical practical ability",highlighting the concept of sustainable development in the teaching process,strengthening the perception of human-land coordination in practice by using local human-land relationship cases,evaluating the geographical practical ability and cultivating the core quality of geography. |
