The “General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standards(the 2017 Edition)”clearly puts forward the key competencies of geography.As an important part of the geographical key competencies,regional cognition is the basic premise for high school students to learn geography and understand geographic regions.However,most of the current researches on regional cognition are focus on its connotation and cultivation strategies,but few on the evaluation.Understanding the basic meaning of regional cognition and the basic methods of evaluation through the literature,analyzed the first and second indicators of evaluation system based on reading relevant literatures and consulting with teachers and experts,computing the weights of those indicators,and building the evaluation system for three grades in high school,which based on the difference of cognitive competence and the weights.The evaluation system is used for the three grades of students in high school.Analyzing the evaluation results,introspecting the evaluation system and its application.The main research contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction.Analyzing the research background and researching significance by reading and collating relevant literatures,sorting out the research status at home and abroad of the geographic key competencies and regional cognition,putting forward the methods and the techniques of the research.The second part is related concepts and theoretical foundations.Defining “geographic key competencies”,“regional cognition” and “evaluation system of the regional cognition”through the literature,and expounding the theoretical basis of the research.The third part is the status survey.Researching the regional cognition of high school students in Hebei Zhengding Middle School through the questionnaire.The fourth part is the construction of the evaluation system of regional cognition's level.According to the principles of scientificity,integrality,independence,measurability and dynamics,combining with relevant literatures,selecting the first-level indicators and the second-level indicators of the evaluation system,and computing the weights of different grades by questionnaire method and AHP,and the evaluation system of the regionalcognition's level with different weights is constructed for the first,second and third grades,and the brief instructions for use are given.The fifth part is the application case of the evaluation system.Taking Hebei Zhengding Middle School as an example,students in the first,second and third grades were examined and evaluated according to the indicators in the form of test questions,and the evaluation results were analyzed to reflect on the application of the evaluation system.The sixth part is the conclusion and expectation.Including main conclusions,shortcomings and outlooks.
