The success or failure of education depends on the quality of teachers,so student teacher training is particularly important.And one of the important ways for the training of student teacher at home and abroad is by means of U-S collaboration,and whether the practice measures of U-S collaboration in student teacher training is perfect or not directly determines the process and quality of student teacher training.Taking the teaching practice of A University in western area as an example,the study investigates and analyzes the problems and reasons of A University's practice of U-S collaboration in student teacher training,and puts forward corresponding measures.It is helpful to explore and improve the path of practice measures of U-S collaboration in student teacher training for A University,and provides such research cases for other regions and even the whole country.The study is based on the System Theory,the Professional Development Theory and the Third Space Theory.It is shown that there exist some problems in the practice of A University and Schools5 collaboration in student teacher training,such as the disproportionate collaboration between school participation,insufficient guidance of tutors to the student teacher and the imperfect evaluation system of teaching practice.The causes of these problems are:the lack of policy incentive and guidance for the collaboration,headmaster's deviated understanding of the significance of the collaboration and university's weak awareness of serving schools;university tutors'limited guidance ability and time,insufficient selection system and school tutors'limited time;lack of restriction on the assessment subjects,the weaking implementation mechanism of the student teacher assessment regulations,and the unreasonable time arrangement of the student teacher assessment.Based on the experiences at home and abroad and the reality of A University,the study suggests in order to improve the practice of U-S collaboration in student teacher training,the focus should be on enhancing the awareness and action of school participation,strengthening the guidance of tutors to the student teacher and improving the assessment system of teaching practice.Specifically,the measures include:formulating supportive collaboration policies,changing the concept of headmasters about collaboration and improving the win-win mechanism of U-S collaboration;improving the relevant system between tutors gradually,providing sufficient time for the work of tutors,providing system and professional support for the exchange and collaboration between tutors;realizing the diversity of assessment subjects,and valuing the combination of formative and summative assessment,and strengthening the timeliness of the student teacher assessment.
